One of the wondrous things about the Dead Rising series is that it really hammers home the point that "one mans treasure is another mans murder death kill machine"

Anyway, no matter who you're playing as in the series, you'll come across a tonne of items that might seem utterly useless at first but with some A-team style duct tape and a lot of determination, can be turned into horde clearing wonder weapons. Yet in the case of the spitball gun from Dead Rising 2, you might want to hold off dunking it in fire as it's secretly a badass weapon as it is!
Against normal enemies, this thing is literally useless, firing softballs the bounce off foes to no avail. However before you chuck this kids toy in the skip with those horrifying furbies, just try and use it against TK's helicopter boss battle midway through the game.
As the helicopter is programmed to take damage from whatever is thrown at it, the spitball gun becomes a hyper-powered rifle, letting you down the chopper in about ten seconds! In a game that is all about managing time, this is a godsend and has become the go-to weapon of choice for speedrunners.
