6. Make Survival Mechanics Optional
Fallout 76 sees the series' signature survival mechanics being ramped up to levels that many players are finding frustrating and unnecessarily obstructive to exploring the game's sprawling wasteland.
With the inclusion of an offline mode, though, Bethesda could also add in accessibility options for players to toggle the punishment factor of the survival elements.
Maybe you'll want to keep the threat of radiation but ditch boring busy-work such as thirst and weapon degradation, or vice versa. Obviously this again raises a balance issue, but if it was confined to a potential offline experience, it shouldn't be too difficult to implement.
As it stands, just moving around the world and finding resources feels like more of a chore than it probably should, but a few simple sliders could change that.
