If you've ever played a Bethesda game on PC, you'll probably be aware that the modding community for their releases is dedicated, and in addition to crafting incredible cosmetic elements for the games, they'll also provide bug-fixes and quality-of-life enhancements that Bethesda themselves hasn't bothered to.

Though the recent remastered editions of Skyrim embarrassingly featured bugs which the fan community had ironed out years ago, it's clear that Bethesda could call upon some assistance from fans in order to get Fallout 76 in more consistent working shape.

Granted, this implementation would be tougher on consoles, especially with their closed online ecosystems, but given the persistence and ingenuity of the passionate fan community, Bethesda would be smart to work with fans as a free resource and roll their hard work into a patch they can pass through console certification.

Considering that the game doesn't even have any anti-cheat measures currently enabled, what's the harm in letting players take a peek under the hood?
