AEW Fight Forever
Yuke's/THQ/AEW

This is very important.

Yuke’s and THQ aimed for a throwback to N64 classics and old SmackDown games when thrashing out an overall gameplay style for Fight Forever. The more realistic approach favoured by 2K’s WWE series has been given the old heave ho in favour of faster, “pick up and play” elements that'll suit old-schoolers reading this.

The AKI engine was cited as a major influence for the developers too, which means the crustier gamers amongst us will spot a feature or two they might've enjoyed from titles like WCW/nWo Revenge or the beloved WWF No Mercy. That'll be music to the ears of many.

Gameplay in Fight Forever has a nice zip to it. Kenny Omega (you'll be hearing a lot from him during this list) had previously said he wanted a game that'd appeal to older fans whilst still suiting younger ones too. That's always gonna be tricky, but he believes the devs have nailed it.
