AEW Game: 10 Features We Must See In The Upcoming Console Title
9. No Reusing Animations
The AEW game clearly isn't attempting to be a full-blown simulator, as the graphics alone indicate that it will be slightly more "arcadey" in nature. However, that doesn't mean each wrestler shouldn't feel like their own distinct personality.
While it goes without saying that talents often use the same moves, they don't do so in the exact same way. A suplex from Jon Moxley, for example, is going to look vastly different to one from Brodie Lee! This game needs to make sure that rather than animations being used over and over again, every single wrestler in the game looks and plays differently.
This may sound minor, but it will make a huge difference to the overall feel of the game. If it means a smaller roster, so be it, because there's really no point getting to play as Top Flight if they're going to handle exactly the same as the Young Bucks.
There's no reason for this to apply only to moves either; everything from taunts to how wrestlers run needs to take this into account.
