Aliens: Fireteam Elite Review

You NEED To Play With Other Humans

Aliens Fireteam Elite Xenomorph

Fireteam Elite is a multiplayer game at heart, and is made to be played with other humans.

There IS an option to go into any of the mission chapters solo with two other bot-controlled android marines, or two players with one A.I., but it really isn’t the way to play. Fireteam Elite’s A.I leave a lot to be desired, as it is very basic, to say the least.

A.I companions can deal with the standard Runner type of Xenomorph with little trouble, but once this game throws everything at a team, they are quickly overwhelmed, even on standard difficulty. No more so evident in chapter 2 where the Elite Fireteam is facing Androids that fight back. This is by far the weakest portion of the game.

Humans can get through this no problem, but the A.I will stand there, out of cover as they get taken down by the heavier class of Android, leaving the most skilled of players to be overwhelmed.

This isn’t a one-man show, and Fireteam Elite requires communication to survive its levels.
