Unfortunately, there’s been no word on any activities in which islanders can all participate. New Horizons is a game that’s screaming for a couple of Mario Party inspired games with friends, as fans have already begun terraforming mazes and even Zelda-inspired dungeons for players to traverse.

CJ’s Fishing Tourney could easily be developed into a head-to-head race between players to catch the most fish. The May Day seasonal event, which drops players on a maze-like island to win bell vouchers and Rover's briefcase would also be improved with the ability to play with friends.

What's strange is New Leaf already implemented minigames when touring islands. Balloon-hunts, bug-catching tournaments and scavenger hunts are the kinds of fun challenges New Horizons fans want to see in future updates.
