Animal Crossing: New Horizons Wishlist - 10 Things Fans Need To See
4. Bigger Everything
Just... bigger. Bigger everything.
Obviously Animal Crossing doesn’t need an absolutely sprawling map; can you imagine trying to maintain your village if it had a map size to rival Red Dead Redemption 2, The Witcher 3 or Breath Of The Wild?
But allowing a bit more space would be welcome, as well as a bigger roster of villagers, bigger range of customisation options and a bigger selection of skills and tasks.
A more creative consideration could have you as a photographer with your smartphone to open up the possibilities too. Instead of just collecting bugs and fishes, you could catalogue things like the changing weather, or natural fixtures like trees or rock formations too.
The Switch should lend itself to many more additions, and with a delay allowing the game to be complete, it’s set to be crammed with features.
With New Horizons taking place on an island, perhaps you get to sail out a bit further for a better range of fish? With the added power of the Switch, you feel that has to be going somewhere in the game. If this is anything less than Animal Crossing’s biggest game to date, it’ll feel like a massive missed opportunity.
