Anthem 2.0 Wishlist: 8 Ways To Fix The Game
5. New Game Modes: PvP, Special Ops Missions & Survival
Additional game modes would help keep the gameplay loop fresh and offer other ways to grind for loot instead of the usual freeplay and stronghold runs. Obviously, it would take some balancing, but a PvP mode could open up a ton of possibilities.
Players could engage in 3v3 battles with different objectives and modifiers like ability-only matches, weapon-only matches, unlimited flight in all-aerial level, elemental overload (increased elemental effects), etc.
A wave-based survival mode where players defend Fort Tarsis against increasingly tougher enemies could be another mode that adds new content but makes sense within the lore.
High-level players could engage in Special Ops missions that offer unique objectives. These could be things like infiltrating an enemy base to get a legendary weapon blueprint, kidnapping a person of interest for enemy intel or saving a faction member and getting them back safely to Fort Tarsis.
More dynamic events as well as increasing the player cap from 4 to 8 would also help to make the world feel more alive during Free Play. Players are thirsty for new things to do in the game, and these modes would provide a lot of different ways to use their javelins.
