The Peacekeeper is the game's most powerful standard shotgun, with the insane ability to down an unarmoured enemy in a single shot if you hit them with the entire spread of the bullet. Even armoured enemies will only take two shots, again, if the spread lands.

Even better: equip the Precision Choke attachment to tighten that spread while aiming down the sights, making it significantly easier to win any close range gunfight you get into, while also making the gun viable at medium distances. You still won't beat a competent player with an assault rifle at that distance, but you'll at least have a fighting chance.

The most annoying thing about the Peacekeeper is that it's a lever-action shotgun, which means that there's a forced delay between your shots. So if you miss your first shot - alerting the enemy to your presence - you're in trouble, because they'll now be able to dance around wildly, making them even harder to hit and leaving you vulnerable to a peppering of assault rifle or SMG fire.

But if you get the jump on someone - or land your first shot - then the Peacekeeper is a pure monster.
