Arkham Origins: 6 Playable Characters Revealed so Far

5. Robin

Robin Arkham Origins. Robin was a playable character in the Arkham City challenge maps, and his abilities seem to be almost identical in Origins. He still has his metal bullet-blocking shield and line-kick ability, along with the cool acrobatic combat style of the previous game (though his primary focus here is admittedly sneaking). Currently we know Robin to be playable only in the game€™s multiplayer mode, where he is found on the same team as Batman in the Invisible Predator gang-war style levels, yet it€™s perfectly possible he€™ll later be revealed to be in the challenge maps or even the main campaign. In terms of which Robin is in this game, we can pretty much guarantee it isn€™t Tim Drake or Damien Wayne as this is far too early in Batman€™s career for either of those to be his sidekick. Chances are Arkham Origins€™ Boy Wonder will be Dick Grayson, as chronologically he€™s the first apprentice Bruce Wayne ever took on, so considering when Origins is set he€™s the one that best matches the timeline. Appearance-wise he€™s not quite as tough-looking as he was in Arkham City, losing the hoodie and now wearing a very Nightwing-esque metal acrobat suit, giving him a younger, more inexperienced look compared to City€™s Tim Drake. Saying that, it is possible to change his costume once you level up, with six costume variations available in total (including Red Robin, 2000s€™ Tim Drake, and Robin from the animated series). In multiplayer he can take down goons just as well as his broody mentor, though that isn€™t as easy a task as you may think. Gang leaders can take you out with remarkable ease, while goons stand a pretty good chance too if they see you from far enough away. Stealth is the key to winning as the heroes, making it necessary to pick of gang members that go off alone rather than groups, as attacking more than one at the same time will give you a suit with more bullet holes than Bonnie and Clyde€™s car. However, with practice there€™s no reason you can€™t dominate every match, and even without the possibility of victory the character€™s inclusion in the multiplayer helps spice things up enough to keep it consistently entertaining.
