3. Customization/Unlockables
Like all multiplayer shooters, Arkham Origins provides players with the ability to create and customize classes, which includes weapons, perks and armor. Players will have the ability to change the look an effect of their guns along with the design and functionality of their armor (this includes various clown masks for the Joker gang). Gamers playing as gang-members can also access special equipment (different from that which is supplied by the boss ) and can further customize it and it's effects. While most of the items are unlocked by a leveling system that will most likely be built into the multiplayer, a reasonable amount can be accessed, as mentioned before, purely through story mode. This might also include predator and combat challenge maps, but that is not certain. Although, it wouldn't be a surprise if it did. It has not been confirmed whether Batman and Robin will be customizable or not, but they will almost certainly have the same story-mode-based unlocks as the gangs. Since their weapons and gadgets can not be upgraded (apart from Wayne Tech purchases in single-player mode), classes will probably not be available to gamers controlling The Dynamic Duo. It doesn't seem as though our heroes' suits will be customizable at all, but if they are, their system certainly won't be like that of the gangs. Players might be able to access and use their unlocked and/or purchased costumes for The Dark Knight, but that doesn't account for Robin. He might get several unlocks from the story mode, this seems unlikely however because Warner Brothers have revealed that our 'Year Two' Batman has not met Dick Grayson yet. However, DLC may also provide the costumes we're looking for. Although not much is known about the details of the customizable and unlockables in Arkham Origins, one thing is made certain from the get-go: dedicated players will have the best time. Anyone who plays through the campaign and puts hours into the multiplayer will have the best experience in the matches. Many people have complained about the replay value of past Arkham games and, with these unlockables in place, gamers will have another reason to play the game long after they've finished the story mode.
