Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Every Detail You Need To Know

4. You Can Play As Either A Male Or Female Assassin

It's not the first time the option has appeared in the series, but Ubisoft have confirmed that players will have the ability to play as either a male or female assassin when first booting up Odyssey. So far this ability had been reserved for Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, which gave players the chance to play as either one of the Frye siblings.

How much this decision will impact the gameplay itself - or whether it will be integrated into the story as it was with Syndicate's two distinct characters - is yet to be confirmed, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see the devs follow the precedent they set with that previous title.

Whichever route they go down, the option showing up once again in this game seems to be inline with reports that Odyssey is attempting to embrace deeper RPG elements and player choice.
