Assassin's Creed Origins: 10 Important Questions It Must Answer

4. Is Baek The Only Protagonist?

Ever since Black Flag upended all expectations by letting us play as both Haytham Kenway and Conor within the same game, all bets have been off as to how Ubisoft can portray both sides of the Templar/Assassin conflict.

Needless to say, the amount of questions this created for how the Templars operate are endless (they literally evolved to move, climb, stab and plan their kills in the exact same way as the assassins), though we never got any insight into how this blending of approaches came about.

Metaphorically it helps expand the notion that order and chaos are so closely intertwined, and feeds into the reality that whatever sparks Baek's motivation to create the assassins, must be in opposition to something, or someone.

Assassin's Creed III's templar twist and Black Flag's Abstergo employee reveal weren't even remotely hinted at in the marketing - potentially meaning Origins could also have something substantial up its sleeve.
