Assassin's Creed Origins: 10 Past Mistakes Ubisoft Can't Repeat
5. No Bugs At Launch
Assassin's Creed has always been plagued by technical issues. Bubbling under the surface for years, the franchise's relationship with bugs and glitches finally came to a head with 2014's Unity, which became instantly infamous for its broken character models and completely unoptimised performance.
While not all the issues have been as large as the nightmare-inducing faceless assassins found in Unity, the games have never been perfect upon release. To prove they're really back in the game, Origins needs to convince fans that they're playing a polished and complete sequel, and nothing would break that illusion like falling through the map on launch day.
Then again, it's probably a bit much to ask of Ubisoft to ship a game that isn't broken at release. Across all of their franchises the publisher seems to be incapable of making their titles work, with big releases like Rainbow Six: Siege, For Honor and Watch Dogs all shipping with crippling problems.
