Assassin’s Creed 3: 10 Reasons To Be Excited

9. Combat

Rather publically, Ubisoft have been lauding AC III€™s completely overhauled combat system. The game€™s battle mechanics have apparently been built from scratch from the ground up which means that the new character isn€™t the only promised revolution on offer. Connor will apparently be able to combine any two weapons when entering into a combat situation. Knife and a tomahawk? Go for it. Pistol and the hidden blade? Not a problem. Sword and Club? I thought you€™d never ask. AC III€™s combat animation system has also been burned down and rebuilt from the ashes; according to Creative Designer Alex Hutchinson, Connor boasts thousands of brand new kill and combat animations that promise to completely separate the game from its predecessors (which, let€™s be honest, in terms of combat, were already fairly awesome). And this is the tip of the iceberg my friend. It seems as though an immense amount of time and effort has gone in to crafting AC III€™s brand new combat system and I for one am on the edge of my seat in anticipation for it.
