Assassin's Creed 4: 10 Things We Want To See

6. A Climactic Ending

Structurally, Assassin's Creed games tend to go like this: Begging - "Oh my sweet lord, this is incredible"; Middle - "Yeah! This is still awesome!"; End - "Wait...what the f**k was that?!" Yes, as a long running Assassin's Creed fan, I've grown accustomed to games that don't exactly pull it out of the bag for the ending. But that doesn't mean I'm exactly happy about it. Instead of petering out undramatically as the last handful of titles have (including AC III, whose ending was essentially a ream of exposition; a sin even for a video game), I'm keen for Assassin's Creed IV to actually get to its point come the ending, as opposed to just lumping more questions on the pile to ensure I'll play again next time, like a really long, really expensive episode of Lost. I'm not the only one either; AC III was harshly criticised for it's half-assed ending and rightly so; I'd hope Ubisoft would at least attempt to learn a lesson here and provide us with something of more substantial substance on their next outing.
