Assassin's Creed 5: 10 Essential Features It Needs To Overhaul

2. Better Implementation Of Second-Screen Features

Though some will argue that second-screen features are superfluous and just a distraction to the core experience. However with Black Flag Ubisoft proved that there is a use for the feature; by connecting your game to your iPad, iPhone or Android device via a U-Play account, gamers were able to take part in the games naval warfare mini-game, something that proved to be not only fun but had a tangible effect on the game. However, if you weren't interested in the naval side of things - and outside of earning more cash, there wasn't really much point to it all - then the app was a non-starter. If Ubisoft can harness the concepts behind second-screen gaming then they can create something special. The games' writers are obsessed with the Animus concept, and even the whole 'meta' game going on. How about allowing us to use our tablets to interact with the game whilst it's running? It could be used as a separate map, constantly updated to parallel what is happening on screen. Perhaps allowing us to mark points of interest on our tablet, and then being able to find them in game. The second screen could also be used to display documents and historically significant facts. After all, this is a game series that prides itself on attention when it comes to history. There's even a call for it to help improve an overhauled multiplayer system. This has been done in Battlefield 4, and will be used heavily in upcoming Tom Clancy game; The Division. The ability to interact in a multiplayer game without a standard controller can be brilliant if done correctly. Being able to aide friends by pinpointing potential enemy locations, or guiding a buddy to a good hiding spot are great potential uses for the technology.
