Assassin's Creed Kingdom Wishlist: 10 Things We Need To See

7. A Viking King

Assassin's Creed Kingdom
Marvel Studios

For the majority of the Assassin’s Creed games, you’ve been a young hero; an outsider, a rising star... you’ve been the hero of your own story, but there’s been another, much larger one going on in the background. The big exception was Ezio, but he had three games to build himself up.

With the Vikings being such a tribal period of history though, there’s more opportunities than just uniting a warring faction. What could refresh things up in a different way though would be to have you as a ruling Viking king.

Ruling over with an iron fist, you could run your tribe your way. Sending groups off on certain missions for experience, making ruling decisions in camp, deciding on the direction for the Vikings under your rule could really freshen up the player character.

Things have improved in recent years, but they’re yet to really replace Ezio as a memorable figure.

Quite how being a king would balance with being an assassin would work is open to interpretation. An experienced king yet new recruit could be compelling, or you could be secretly (or openly) using your subjects to further your cause.
