Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate - 10 Crucial Things It Must Learn From Unity

2. Don't Skimp On The 'Wow' Factor

AC: Unity is easily one of the best looking video games of all time; everything from the sun-kissed cathedrals that prop up the surrounding skyline to the intricately woven fabrics in every character's attire - the art department at Ubisoft are second to none. Sure it took you right out of the experience when a character disappeared into the floor, someone's leg suddenly bent backwards or Arno's face straight-up didn't fill in - but when you'd made the effort to clamber all the way to the top of a random tower, the ensuing 360-degree camera shot was breathtaking. So far what's been shown of Syndicate in-action doesn't look as visually arresting as the black n' gold aesthetic first put across in last year's leaked Victory details, but here's hoping that even thought the setting is a smog-covered Victorian England complete with mostly black clothing and a grubby peasantry filling out the streets, Ubisoft can find a way to present it a way that's befitting of the franchise.
