Assassin's Creed: Syndicate - 8 Signs Ubisoft Learnt Nothing From Unity

1. More Ridiculously Unbelievable 'Stealth'

https://youtu.be/hKR42Ci000k?t=208 3:28 on the above video: "I'll just take this guy out quietly..." "GAH!" *Continues to crouch-walk and stab people* Such is a regular day as an AC protagonist, and a particular instance of immersion-breaking gameplay in the reveal demo, as the commentator notes the need to silently dispatch a watching sentry only for him to scream out... and the other nearby A.I. patrol be none-the-wiser. Even the pedestrian who appears and remarks on the corpse notes "Well that doesn't look entirely honest" in some weird way that's assumedly supposed to be funny, but following this footage that statement could be applied to Syndicate itself. Fans will know these setups to be standard fare from the other games, but seven main sequels in it's simply unacceptable to continue trying to label this a 'stealth' game where the mechanics at play are completely broken. It's especially egregious when you can tell the most essential parts of the experience are being glossed over to crank another instalment out, barely refining the necessary elements that would make this a truly great game and simply demanding cash in return. How have you found the reveal of AC: Syndicate to be so far? Let us know in the comments!
