Assassin's Creed: Unity - 10 Most Exciting Features From E3
9. Seamless Transition Into Buildings
This was something that was promised by the non-gameplay footage of Assassins Creed III but really didnt make it into the game, with the exception of a couple of rooms in just one or two missions. But from the clip of Unity it looks like its going to be a big thing with all four Assassins entering a building without any delay or reload times (or a switch in posture etc) as seen in previous games. Perhaps this will be Unitys massive change, much as ACIII introduced tree climbing. It would certainly make sense considering the reasonably high-rise setting and would also let the player really explore the location, including all the Parisian landmarks. It also give the franchise a distinction from its freerunning rivals such as the Arkham series of Batman and Tomb Raider. Plus with all the peasants rioting, its hardly likely that the nobles of this period would spend all their time standing outside in a courtyard so they could be easily picked off by a robed Assassin hiding in a haystack. Theyll be hiding behind gates and guards and in order to take them out, Arno will have to enter their homes so with this added dynamic itll make the gameplay just a little bit more realistic than before.
