4. Connor To Make An Appearance
One of the interesting implications of choosing this particular setting for Unity is that the French Revolution took place between 1789 and 1799, which is just a short period of time away from the end of the American Revolutionary War, which of course was the setting for Assassin's Creed III. Given that the main character from AC3 was still alive and well at the end, could this mean that we might see him some six years later in the new game? Frankly, it's probably too good of an opportunity to miss; the only "double Assassin" game so far has been Assassin's Creed: Revelations which featured both Ezio and Altaïr. Of course the European setting begs the question could Ezio have made the trip to France at some point and left something behind much like Altaïr did in Istanbul? The appearance of Connor is far more likely, as it is in the historical record that the Americans wanted to support the French in also rising up against the Monarchy in order to install the Republic. It would therefore make perfect sense that any French Assassin sect would seek help from an experienced Assassin who only six years earlier had helped to overthrow the British in the colonies. And while he probably won't be the main character, we may yet find that Connor is actually a mentor figure in Unity.
