Another great way for Eivor to take down enemies that are a lot stronger than him is to rely on the Poison Strike ability that has gone unnoticed by quite a few players. Learning this ability will see Eivor coating his weapons in venom, which deals additional poison damage to enemies over time and will thus allow you to dodge your way to victory as their bodies slowly wither away.

Surprisingly enough, the Poison Strike ability is unlike any other ability on this list in that it can't be learnt from seeking out a Book of Knowledge. In fact, the ability is a lot closer than you might expect. The first step you need to complete before obtaining this skill is the building of the Hidden One's Bureau in your Ravensthorpe Settlement.

Once done, talk to Hytham and hear all about the Order of the Ancients. When killing a member of this cult, Eivor will take a medallion from their corpse. Hand 4 of these medallions over to Hytham and he'll teach you everything you need to know about the Poison Strike ability.

Better yet, combine this knowledge with the Miasma skill from the Path of the Raven and watch as each kill with the ability leaves behind it a lingering poison cloud, inflicting even more damage.
