When exploring the south-easterly region of Hordafylke either Synin or a pulse from your Odin's Sight will reveal a secret passageway which just so happens to hide an incredibly useful Book of Knowledge. Uncovering this secret passageway will require some investigative work though, which starts by reading a note that can be found in the nearest farmhouse. According to the note, the owner's pigs decided to run off with his cellar key, which is now nowhere to be found.

Searching the pigsty to the south of the farmhouse will uncover the missing key, so pick it up and head on over to the wooden crane-like contraption that sits right above the hidden passageway symbol on your map.

Aiming your bow at the pulley of this contraption and letting rip will see the large stones it's holding up crash down and create a gap in the floor. Climb down this hole to find the cellar door and open it up to get your knowledge on.

And for future reference keep in mind that a key will always be in close proximity to its locked door. Whether carried by a guard, lost in the wilderness, or awarded by completing a quest, you'll find it. So don't give up.
