Assassin's Creed Valhalla: EVERY New Detail You Need To Know
2. Holiday 2020 Release Window
The cinematic trailer ended with a tease of a Holiday 2020 release and while we don't have an exact date yet this puts the game in that sweet spot of Black Friday and Christmas.
Despite multiple delays in the industry, 2020 is stacked and a Q4 release will give Valhalla some space to flourish. The Last of Us 2 (June 19), Ghost of Tsushima (July 19), Marvel's Avengers (September 4) and Cyberpunk 2077 (September 17) are just a few of the heavy hitters releasing this year not even considering games that have yet to be announced.
EA did something similar with 2019's Jedi: Fallen Order which sold to great success as it had a perfect storm of an eager fan base, great reviews and an uncrowded holiday season. Hopefully, Valhalla has similar results.
