Finally, we come to the main event and greatest addition to the Assassin's Creed franchise in many years, RAIDS!!!!

That is no exaggeration and these little mini assaults on abbeys and monasteries are a very welcome new addition. For those who have not seen them, they are fairly self-explanatory. You go on a typical Viking raid, kill all enemies in site and loot all of their treasure. That is a brief summary but they are so much more than just that.

The way you pull up in a longboat, storm the river front and then ransack a town, pillaging and plundering as you go. It is a work of art and the epitome of Viking culture.

They absolutely nailed it, everything from the eerie Viking music to the burning of homes. It feels like a raid should and though they are only short, it is a rush like no other. It is enough to make you want to buy an axe and helmet then raise a goblet in the air, shouting SKOL!!!
