Assassin's Creed: Victory - 10 Things It Must Learn From Black Flag

3. Make Money More Important

Granted you have to suspend your disbelief slightly to accept that random chests happen to exist on rooftops with no one else stumbling across them, but after the fun of collecting the lot and reaping the rewards, then what? Once quickly unlocking all weapons and outfits, money becomes relatively useless, especially when ammo can be looted from dead enemies - even medicine is a thing of the past with the regenerating health system found in the more recent games. However, Black Flag did make money go a bit further through improving the Jackdaw ship, which genuinely became a necessity when attempting to attack fleets of naval convoys and the legendary ghost ships. That's in addition to adopting the €˜rebuild an area€™ obligation originating in AC 2 that has become a metaphorical gold digger in every game since, draining the majority of your coin. AC Victory must make money more important, use it for upgrades that are actually necessary not just optional, whilst offering gamers to chance to upgrade their character in a way that's unique to them. Otherwise what€™s the point of collecting tens of thousands of coins, if you can't see anything worthwhile on the other end?
