Avengers Video Game: 12 Essential Features It Must Have

3. RPG System

As the player progresses through the game, a sense of escalation would be interesting to see how these characters might grow. By throwing in an RPG system, you could potentially let the player craft their own unique visions of these iconic characters. Perhaps once Scarlet Witch reaches a certain level, she can gain access to a whole new set of powers that would completely change the way she is controlled. You could also tie it into the narrative, with each level up threatening to make any character even more powerful. Since it's rumored that a future Avengers movie might follow the route of the Civil War storyline from the comics, it could also be used to explore the deeper dynamics of that concept, as well. The question of superheroes becoming too powerful, just how much is too much, they're all legitimate questions that could be posed. By weaving parts of that in and out of the story, you create a much richer world for the player to exist in. But on a practical level, it's such a rewarding experience in a game to know that your character is getting better. Knowing that the Hulk is now even stronger, or that Cap throws his shield even harder, it's all a part of the most rewarding elements of gaming to begin with. If you let the player feel powerful, it's a near guarantee that they'll leave your game each time feeling good about it.
