Avengers Video Game: 12 Essential Features It Must Have

2. Huge Set Pieces

Let's get it straight; set pieces are Naughty Dog's thing. They do them better than anyone, and have proven that when it comes to extraordinary sequences that feel like they came out of a Hollywood blockbuster, no one can top Naughty Dog. From the helicopter chase sequence in Nepal from Uncharted 2, all the way to the Firefly hospital shootout in The Last of Us, the stuido is unmatched in creating pure visual poetry. With the Avengers game, you need to create the same breathtaking sense of scale that the ending of the first film did. The fluidity of motion between heroes, the way it seamlessly fell together into one sequence as opposed to a bunch of little action scenes, it all blended together to create one of the most awe-inspiring battle scenes ever put to film. For the game, take the very direct approach; comic book battles are huge, so the game needs to be the same way. Enormous, spanning vistas of the New York skyline, fiery explosions, battles between good and evil on the ground, it's all got to mesh together with the character switching and feel coherent. Scale is one thing, but this needs to be above scale. This needs to be Naughty Dog at their finest.
