Batman: Arkham Insurgency - 9 Things It Must Learn From City
7. Don't Tease Other Superheroes And Not Make Them Playable
One of the most memorable parts of Arkham City was Tim Drake's cameo appearance. Because until Robin turned up in the sequel players had no idea that the character even existed in this version of Batman's universe, and his one scene suddenly opened up Rocksteady's world beyond the narrow view of just one superhero.
Unfortunately, the wonder of that initial reveal was quickly dashed when it turned out that his inclusion was mainly a way to promote him as a playable DLC character in the title's challenge rooms.
Even worse, other heroes like Nightwing were also released as playable characters outside of the main story, leaving fans wondering why they weren't included in the main campaign.
They were still fun to use, but in the future if the developers are going to take the time to create these unique superheroes then they should also make them a part of the title's story, rather than restricting them to extraneous modes.
