Batman: Arkham Knight - 10 Awesome Villains Who'll Steal The Show
3. Deathstroke
Arkham Origins didn't advance the Arkham series forward in many ways but it did introduce a series of new, exciting characters to the universe. The most notable of these additions was Deathstroke, a mercenary and assassin who comes to Gotham to claim the bounty on Batman's head. One of the more memorable scenes from Origins sees Batman and Deathstroke facing off in a gladiator pit. This encounter pushes Batman and the player to their limits as Deathstroke's wide range of tools and weapons means he always has something surprising up his sleeve. Deathstroke is beaten and locked up by Batman where he later states that he has no intention of continuing his pursuit of the Dark Knight. However, in a post-credits scene, Amanda Waller attempts to recruit Deathstroke for her new Suicide Squad - a group which could feature in Arkham Knight. The Suicide Squad have already made an appearance in the Arkham universe through the animated film Assault On Arkham; notably though, Deathstroke does not appear. Could his return have been saved for Rocksteady's grand finale? With a new purpose and goal, Arkham's Deathstroke could be an imposing foe for Batman were he to turn up. A climatic battle with the assassin could create some of the finest gameplay in the series (especially in Rocksteady's capable hands) and there are still many questions to be answered about the Origins post-credit scene - Deathstroke's appearance in Knight could lead to a spin-off game based around the Suicide Squad. Having made a great introduction in Origins, it would be a real shame for Deathstroke not to be utilised by Rocksteady in their final chapter; he could quite easily establish himself as one of the best villains Arkham has to offer.
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
