Batman: Arkham Knight - 10 Big Things We Now Know

8. We're Getting A New Suit

Arkham Asylum had a classic take on the costume, giving us the black-on-grey coloration with a slightly longer cowl and cape; allowing swifter movement in combat. However, in order to fight both the frost and larger threats present in Arkham City, Batman had to adopt a slightly different costume; this one tinged navy blue in place of black, and a bit bulkier with a shorter cape and cowl. The prequel game Arkham Origins presented a more unrefined Batsuit that appeared as clunky, scratched armour with a small mask. In Arkham Knight, it appears the authorities at DC finally got to RockSteady, as their new design reflects elements present in the New 52. Instead of the thick, polymer, Kevlar-like body present in RockSteady's previous games, we've instead got plated armour, a smaller utility belt, and black patches around the inner legs to replace the speedo. Rest assured, however, as this isn't a sudden change. Similar to the Amazing Spider-Man 2's costume redesign, Hill has explained that players will start off with the Arkham City suit before switching to the armoured one - the reason being they wanted the suit to be more connected to the Batmobile. We'll see what exactly they mean by that come October.

Red Stewart is big fan of the entertainment industry, with insights into film, television, and video games for starters. Despite growing up in the 21st century's era of modernization, he prefers many retro era ideas over the current trends found in many of today's media. Personally he's an introvert who loves reading as much as gaming.
