7. Poison Ivy Waves Goodbye?

One key element to the Batman universe is how several characters flirt between being allies of the bat and outright enemies. It's this kind of thing which makes the fictional world so utterly captivating, and few personify this more than Poison Ivy, especially in Arkham Knight.

Captured early on in the game, Ivy becomes an important part of the story later on, as Batman must rely on her incredible bond with nature to stop Scarecrow's reign of toxin-inspired terror. Several short conversations between the pair hint that Ivy isn't quite the straight up villain that she's often painted as, and it's clear there's a level of respect between Batman and herself.

That only makes it all the more tough when she appears to snuff it, punished by Scarecrow for aiding his arch rival in his attempts to free Gotham of his rule. Killing major characters is something Rocksteady have done before, and found a way to bring them back, so maybe this didn't have the biggest impact, but it was still notable. Besides, the ass-kicking in-car fight scenes involving Ivy and the player's character against an army of drones are awesome to experience.
