Batman: Arkham Knight - 10 Key Steps To Guarantee It's 2014 Game Of The Year

2. Don't Bring The Joker Back!

The entire story of Arkham Origins was a mixed bag of good ideas and bad ideas, but what was perhaps its best - and most refreshing - idea got rendered completely obsolete by the seemingly irresistible decision to incorporate Joker into the story as the central villain. Simply put, the game actually had a fascinating plot going for it with Batman going after lesser-known villains, instead of something that has been beaten into the ground. In addition to that, Arkham Knight wholeheartedly feels like that opportunity to take the characters that haven't received characterization justice yet, and let them take center stage. Rocksteady needs to go along with their gutsy ending to Arkham City, and make it work by incorporating some major character development into Harley Quinn. For the love of God, please don't let the Arkham Knight secretly be Joker in a plot twist either; another game with him as the villain would be beyond overkill.
