Batman: Arkham Knight - 10 Key Steps To Guarantee It's 2014 Game Of The Year

6. Eradicate Glitches Across The Board

This entry may seem as if it's only referring to the Warner Brothers Montreal developed Arkham Origins - which was a notoriously buggy mess - but Rocksteady's offerings weren't necessarily perfect either. There's just a drastic ratio between the two experiences. Past history alone isn't exactly why eliminating glitches has made the list though; Arkham Knight is being developed for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which is completely different hardware than what Rocksteady is used to from past generations. And while new hardware is generally an awesome thing, anything new also takes time to properly learn. If not learned, major problems will arise. Rocksteady just needs to keep a handle on the game and put it through some extensive quality assurance testing. Even if there are harmless €“ possibly just amusing - glitches that don't affect the gameplay in a major way, it is best to delay the game. Release Arkham Knight only when all the glitches have been eradicated, even if it means extending the already agonizing wait until the rumored October launch.
