Batman Arkham Knight: 10 Things That Should Be Included
4. Fun Side Missions
Arkham Asylum's lack of side content besides the Riddler was one of that game's only flaws, and Arkham City changed this by offering up 12 side missions for gamers to tackle. However, of these 12 side missions, only 5 or so are actually fun enough to be worth doing, the others amounting to nothing more than boring fetch quests. Arkham Origins came along with eight side missions under the banner "Most Wanted" that pit Batman against other criminals in the city who didn't factor into the main story. Of those, four are worth doing and actually have Batman trying to stop some dastardly plot instead of destroying x number of drug containers. Arkham Knight's gigantic game world offers up a bevy of potential side missions, and Rocksteady would do well to make them something that the Dark Knight would actually concern himself with. Stopping Deadshot from assassinating several figures in the city is far different from destroying random caches of drugs that should be left for the police force. Actually pitting Batman against a supervillain who doesn't fit into the main story would provide for an entertaining diversion for players and be a way to expand the universe.
I'm a fan of all things comic book and an avid moviegoer. Trying to catch up on a never-ending backlog of films- maybe someday. Leave me a comment if you enjoy my articles, think I'm a hack, or anywhere in between.
