8. The Voice Acting

The first thing that'll send your okay-compass into the red is the voice acting - it's just a bit too hammy for its own good. Now obviously some people are going to want their Batman hokey'd up to the max, dictating to razor-throated Jim Gordon that whatever negativity is going down, he "Won't let it happen!" said in the most saturday morning cartoon way possible - but the fact is that even the legendary Kevin Conroy doesn't seem to be delivering his lines with the right level of weight here. The Batman of Arkham City was a bit off when it came to staying within the parameters of being Gotham's protector, and later in this demo when we see him interrogating a soldier, again doesn't sound like he's trying to get information out the guy for the sake of fulfilling his duties as someone who thrives on protecting the weak; instead it all reads too much like another day at the office.
