Batman: Arkham Knight - 8 Big Worries From The "Officer Down" Trailer
7. The Glitches
Assumedly this is something they just didn't catch before making the trailer live, but if you look past the tree in the above clip - or check out the segment just after Bats blows the holy hell out of a perp's car in the full trailer - you'll catch someone spinning in place as they attempt to flee the scene. Obviously in a world this size you're not going to be able to catch everything - and embracing 'the crazy' like Skyrim just helped boost that game's appeal - but as the Arkham titles have been very good when it comes to programming in the past, it'd be a shame to go down a more unpolished route now. Fans will be more than aware the entire game was delayed from last year, receiving another push back just this week (March 23rd) to the end of June - and all of this must be playing into Rocksteady ironing over the creases. Still, when a major chunk of your game shows the AI getting stuck and Bats' cape going randomly rigid mid-animation (when he rescues the cop at the start around 3:20) alongside a bunch of fight sound effects that don't land on cue, it's not capitalising on the vision people have built up from being so long in development.
