Batman: Arkham Knight - 9 Reasons Why Season Of Infamy Is Already A Disappointment

5. They're Going To Find Another Reason To Evacuate Gotham

Whilst it's true that actually creating an inhabited Gotham wouldn't really compliment the Arkham formula's current Batmobile-infused iteration, players are a little irritated that the place has only been explorable in an abandoned form. Unless this final DLC endeavours to create claustrophobic semi-linear environments akin to Arkham Asylum and the abandoned oil rig in a Matter of Family, chances are it will centre around the same empty space that Arkham Knight occupied during its main campaign. Don't get me wrong, I think the Arkhamised interpretation of Gotham looks absolutely magnificent, but wandering the same empty streets again is going to make it lose its novelty. (if it hasn't already) The core game suffered enough from a lack of interior locales, so unless Season of Infamy captures the same magic that reeled players in during Asylum's heyday it's only going to have the effect of stoking disappointment.
