Batman: Arkham Knight Batgirl DLC - 9 Big Things It Finally Gets Right

1. Giving Barbara Her Time To Shine

From Arkham Asylum to Arkham Knight, Barbara Gordon has had one of the largest presences in the series to date. As Oracle she proves to be an invaluable aid to Batman's war against crime, offering tactical advice and providing overwatch to deploy the Bat-family wherever they may be needed. Despite this Babs has never seen much exploration in the Arkhamverse, and was relegated quite humiliatingly to being a damsel for the finale's first act. Seeing the first Batgirl get her own story to shine in is wonderful to see, and is a welcome change from only taking on the role of the Caped Crusader all the time. Batman's allies are comprised of a rich and varied cast and though there are those who much prefer his more solitary adventures, each and every last member of the family is worth exploring. The story add-on illustrates this and more in such a short time span, and will have no doubt left many itching for some more sidekick exploration in the future. Though yes, the content is short and the wider narrative is underdeveloped, this first entry on the Arkham Knight season pass is well worthy of your time. Its atmosphere exudes an eeriness only surpassed by Arkham Asylum and ties in the story perfectly with its predecessor. Quite simply this is a time period that everyone won't be too eager to depart, and brings just enough new things to the table to keep a Matter of Family engrossing to its end.
