Batman: Arkham Knight Batgirl DLC - 9 Big Things It Finally Gets Right

3. A Unique Environment

As stated previously the Seagate Fairground is very much a character in itself, and one that is a welcome diversion from the monolithic scale of Gotham City's environment. It expands on the brief carnival-esque settings in the core game and delivers on them in a big way - with the Joker using various themed death traps to lure Batgirl and Robin into the firing line. One particular favourite was the jet fuel ferris wheel, which had some GCPD officers hurled at huge speed for the Clown Prince's own amusement. Each theme of the environment held its own unique ambience, with a fake aquarium perhaps being the highlight of the entire bunch. Old fairground rides and fortune tellers are fully interactive to spook the various goons below, and is by far the most animated Arkham setting that we've seen yet. It's just a shame there isn't more of it really. Its uniqueness and setting come together to create something extremely memorable - could this be the time to return Arkham to its semi-linear days?
