Batman: Arkham Knight DLC - 7 Reasons The Season Pass Is A Total Failure

5. Where Are The Meaningful Story Missions?

One of the major criticisms for AK came from both the forced Batmobile sections, and the side missions that were far too easy to complete. For me it came across as intended, as the whole game takes place in one night (something that admittedly is a bit of a stretch), so it gets across the idea of Batman applying himself more than ever before to round up Gotham's worst offenders in one evening of superheroic brilliance. However, as enjoyable as slamming Hush through a table and choking Penguin out was, it was all over too fast - particularly with Two-Face's inclusion as essentially a character skin on a regular goon, being you take him down in exactly the same way. Hope came with the Season Pass then, and the 'Season of Infamy' portion of the upcoming DLC. Digging into Arkham Knight's files produced code that pointed towards this DLC including everyone from Prometheus to Mr. Freeze, Ra's al Ghul, Black Mask and even Killer Croc. However, as far as the official word's concerned, fans don't know about these extra characters, instead Rocksteady announced the supremely vague-sounding "Play as Batman in all new story missions featuring legendary super-villains invading Gotham City, with new story arcs, missions and gameplay features". Way to convince us you know what you're doing and not making it up as you along there, guys. All this time later and no comment on what's coming outside of the next month, with nay even a tweet addressing the leaked info, it only reinforces the idea that the team are scrabbling to put out fires left, right and centre, rather than executing on a plan they've been comfortable with since the beginning.
