The trailers placed heavy emphasis on the new, more streamlined look to the Batsuit. In the past, it was a constructed as one piece, but here the Batsuit has taken a lighter feel with separate carbon fibre pieces moulded together. Just from the presentation and aesthetics of the suit it is clear Batman has been redesigned by implementing lighter materials to accommodate greater movement and allow more features/gadgets to his armoury. What has already been announced is that players will start out with the suit featured in Arkham City, which is the traditional kevlar material and at some point within the game the new Batsuit will become available. Connections have been made toward the synergy between the suit and the aesthetic of the Batmobile and it is clear that there is a greater relationship between the two. What will be interesting is whether the redesign of the suit will allow for new combat styles to become available due to what is seemingly greater movement. Batman is now able to pull off steeper dives and climb higher while using the suit as well as gliding for longer periods of time, adding new options for the player while exploring Gotham.
