Batman Arkham Origins: 10 Reasons Why It Should Get Your Blood-Pumping

8. Multiplayer

Bane and Batman While we haven€™t got official confirmation of multiplayer yet, the rumours are strong enough for us to be able to include it on this list. Information has been leaked, revealing a type of mercenaries mode which involves a predator style gameplay similar to some of the Riddler challenge maps in previous titles, but the criminals being pursued by Batman are controlled by players. While this mode might not be real it is believed to be a likelihood, along with another that pits two rival gangs against each other (e.g. The Joker€™s and Penguin€™s), but as we say neither of these modes has yet to be confirmed. Skepticism over multiplayer in Origins is understandable, but similar disapproval was aired over the idea of including multiplayer in Assassin€™s Creed, yet that move proved to be an extremely popular step for the series. Warner Bros Interactive are a reliable publisher, so if Origins does include multiplayer it€™s highly unlikely to be the tacked-on rubbish we saw in Tomb Raider or Uncharted 2 and could take the franchise to all new heights.
