14. Nightwing, Robin And Batgirl Are Playable
The Batman Arkham games were no strangers to including other characters - in Arkham Knight, for example, you got the opportunity to temporarily play as Nightwing in co-op brawls with Batman.
There's also been DLC released with a playable Harley Quinn and Batgirl, and the ability to control the Joker was also present in challenge maps in the original Arkham Asylum.
In this Arkham reboot, it's heavily rumoured that the game will feature the ability to control the extended Bat-Family, and that this will be a core component of the gameplay.
The members of the Bat-Family are listed as Batman himself (Bruce Wayne), potentially Damian Wayne (either as Robin or possibly taken over the mantle of Batman), Robin (Tim Drake), Nightwing (Dick Grayson) and Batgirl too.
If Batgirl was to be included, this means that somehow this game takes place either before the events of the Arkham series (as Barbara Gordon is paralysed and is now Oracle), or it is indeed a complete reboot of what's came before.
It will be very interesting to see how this is woven into gameplay and whether you can select one character for the entire game, or if you swap between them depending on what's going on at the time.
