Battlefield 1: 10 Problems From The Beta That Must Be Fixed

4. Tanks Are Too Overpowered

EA/DICE

Tanks had to be an absolutely terrifying thing to see roll across the battlefield back during WWI, so it's understandable why DICE shot to make them so strong.

However, from a balancing standpoint, they are just too much. The fact some players have had problems unlocking weapons and equipment also factors into this, as the AT Rocket Gun makes such a big difference against tanks, but requires unlocking. As so many players are unable to get their hands on it, tanks just run through people. The flak cannons sitting out around the map are essentially the only counter at this point.

There's one more thing that makes tanks a seemingly unstoppable beast out there - the fact you can repair them from inside. So, when the other team actually manages to chip away a parts of its health, all you need to do is retreat and repair yourself back up to 100%. Simply.

Careful maintenance of a tank could keep it around the ENTIRE match. While tanks were certainly a monster of the time, they can't be this ludicrously overpowered moving forward.
