Battlefield 1: 15 Crucial Tips & Tricks The Game Doesn't Tell You
3. The Difference Between Elite Classes
When you're playing through matches, at certain stages you'll probably hear the announcer inform you that certain Elite Classes have been deployed around the map.
While some of these are self explanatory (the Flame Trooper is, obviously, an armoured kit that lets you wield a flamethrower) others such as The Sentry and the Tank Hunter are a bit harder to figure out.
With an armour-plated suit and a WW1-era minigun, The Sentry is essentially a walking tank, giving you more health and a shed-load of ammo to storm enemy encampments and hold down objectives. The Tank Hunter, likewise, pretty much does what it says on the tin, swapping out your main weapons for a huge anti-tank rifle that can only be fired prone - but what it lacks in mobility it more than makes up for in stopping power against vehicles and infantry alike.
There's pros and cons for every one (for instance The Sentry can't wear a gas mask) but the truth is anyone who gets their hands on these classes can completely change the pace of a match.
By storming choke points with The Sentry or pushing squads out of an objective with an unrelenting wall of fire as the Flame Trooper, finding and using these Elite Classes can mean the difference between being an underachiever or the MVP in Battlefield 1.
