Battlefield 2018: 8 Leaked Details You're Not Supposed To Know

8. It's Probably Not Bad Company 3

Although the original rumour was that the upcoming game wouldn't be a follow up to Battlefield 1, but rather a sequel to the long-dormant Bad Company spin-off franchise, that theory seems to have been poked full of holes. Consequently, while Bad Company 3 is still allegedly coming, it's almost definitely not going to drop this year.

It's a shame, as the tighter scope of the two Bad Company releases arguably made for a more compelling gameplay loop as opposed to the chaotic all-out war of BF1, and the ability to level entire maps, alongside a less serious approach to the main stories, made the sub-series an instant cult success.

Yeah, it sucks that the revival won't be happening this year, but the fact that it remains on the cards to come out at some point is still good news for fans of a series that's been gone for far too long.
