Battlefield 5: 9 Reasons Fans Should Be Worried

8. The Alpha

The Alpha needed to a lot in order to secure the fan's confidence. Despite alphas almost never being emblematic of the final product, EA and DICE really needed to put an impressive experience forward. And did they? Well... no.

Looking past the obvious balancing issues and various other nitpicks, the alpha was entirely underwhelming. The class system was a nice addition but was quite abusable. The snow effect for the maps was abysmal and definitely, need to be tweaked. And the game just lacked anything special.

Considering the muddy waters that Battlefield V is trudging through on the way to launch, the alpha was necessary to bolster fans faith in the series and it didn't really do that.
